All you need to know for the Euro 2020 qualifying draw

How are the pots decided?
The Pots are based on performance in the Nations League, with international teams ranked from 1-55 on position in each League (A-D) and total points attained.
For example, the four teams that won through to the finals of the competition all sit in Pot 1 for Euro 2020 qualifying, while those teams who suffered poor form (especially relegation) have slipped into lower qualifying pots.
Who sits where?
Gareth Southgate and England are one of the 10 Pot 1 teams for the draw; they join Belgium, Croatia, France, Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland, as the seeded sides in the draw.
In Pot 2, Germany are joined by Iceland, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Denmark, Russia, Sweden, Ukraine and Wales.
The other two Great British nations, Scotland and Northern Ireland, will be in Pot 3, alongside Republic of Ireland, Slovakia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Finland, Israel, Norway and Serbia.
In Pot 4 Albania, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Montenegro, Georgia, Romania and Slovenia.
And, as a result of the Nations League results, Pot 5 consists of; Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Macedonia and Moldova
While finally pot 6 includes; Andorra, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Malta, San Marino.
Which qualifying clashes can be expected? Who has avoided a tough draw?
England face a potential tough draw against former World champions Germany, after Joachim Low's side are to be an unseeded team for the first time in their history.
'Die Mannschaft' endured a torrid Nations League group stage campaign, and after Poland drew 1-1 against Portugal on Tuesday, Germany were confirmed as one of the two sides with the worst records in League A. Consequently, they enter the draw as a Pot 2 team.
However, one side for which this is good news is Wales; who now sit in the same pot as Germany, and will therefore avoid having to play them in Euro 2020 qualifying.
The four Nations League finalists (England, netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland), will be respectively drawn into smaller 5 team groups as a result of their progress in the competition.
As a result of this, all Pot 6 sides are to be drawn in groups not consisting of the Nations League finalists.
When will we know the qualifying groups for the tournament?
Now we know the pots for the draw, the pprocedure itself is due to take place on December 2nd in Dublin Ireland.
How do teams qualify into the European Championships in 2020?
When the draw has taken place, each group will be placed into a qualifying group for the finals, which they must win through in order to reach Euro 2020 in two years time.
Of course, all teams must do their upmost to win, the most wins equals a guaranteed top spot in the group and a ticket to the finals of the competition.
But the specifics of qualification are as follows:
A) The top two teams from each group qualify for Euro 2020
B) The four remaining places at Euro 2020 are based on the results of the Nations League play-offs in March 2020.
