Man Utd left back Alex Telles praised Cristiano Ronaldo and said that "when he's on fire, he's unbelievable." The Portuguese is preparing for the Champions League last 16 second leg against Atletico Madrid after scoring a hat-trick against Tottenham in the Premier League. "It's important to have Ronaldo at the highest level. When he's like that, on fire, he's unbelievable," Telles said in a press conference.
"The important thing is to be right on the field of play. If we play well, we'll have the fans on our side. Our fans are unbelievable and we note it a lot inside the field of play. We are very clever. The match is crucial in our adventure in the Champions League. When we played this competition, we always think about arriving as far as possible. Of coursr we want to win it, but we first have to knock out Atletico Madrid," the Portuguese said.
Telles said that Man Utd "always have to think about winning all competitions," but he followed Simeone's philosophy and he said that they have to go "game by game."
Telles is expected to start this Tuesday at Old Trafford after Luke Shaw missed the last two games through illness. The English full-back joined training this Monday, but it is still not confirmed that he is 100% physically.
