The on-loan striker from Barcelona was able to provide the winning strike for his side against their bitter rivals, after Marco Reus and Robert Lewandowski had netted twice each.
The Spanish forward was able to regain his spot at the top of the goal-scoring charts in the Bundesliga, with Reus and Borussia Moenchengladbach's Alassane Plea, on eight goals.
However, Alcacer has only played in seven matches, while Plea has needed 11 to notch the same number of goals. In fact, he has only played 236 minutes in the Bundesliga since joining this summer.
That means that he has scored a goal every 29.5 minutes, at an average of 1.33 goals per game. It seems as though his move away from the Nou Camp has definitely been the right move.
