Abdelkader meets Paolo Maldini to discuss Diaz's future at Milan

Brahim Diaz has been a key player for AC Milan this season and they do not want the 23-year-old to leave at the end of the campaign.

His impressive performances have surprised Ancelotti's side and the Spanish side are considering his return after two seasons playing at the San Siro stadium. The possible departure of Marco Asensio, who still does not know where he will play next season, would facilitate Diaz's arrival.

According to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', his father Sufiel Abdelkader met with Paolo Maldini on Friday to plan his son's renewal at the Italian club.

His current contract has a buyout clause of 22 million euros but Madrid expect to sell him for 27 million euros. Milan will try to reach an agreement to sign the Spanish striker permanently.
