Richarlison, who joined the club from Fluminese for £13m earlier this month, capped off a fine individual display on his full debut for the Hornets by making the breakthrough after 73 minutes.
"He is one player I know very well and analysed a lot during the last month and of course, he is a boy of 20 years old who does not speak a lot of English," said Silva after the game.
"It is the moment to start learning everything, a different idea of football, but he is a great talent and we believe in him.
"But it is important that we are calm with him as well, it is important not to put too much pressure on the boy, leave him. He comes to work hard every day, and that is most important.
"And after if you have talent, everything is more easy."
Watford's win was sealed late on by a long-range strike from substitute Etienne Capoue and Silva wants all his players to be ready to make an impact when called upon from the bench this season.
"A very, very good goal," he said. "But what I want, not only from Capoue, but everybody coming from the bench to start inside the pitch, like the last week with everybody inside the pitch they really help the team.
"And today again, like Capoue and like the others in the pitch, and this is the most important for a coach when you feel everybody is involved in the match.
"Even the players, and it is normal on the bench not to be happy, but this is the way to show to me they want to play and this is really important."
In general the Portuguese coach, who only took charge of the Hornets this summer, was delighted with his side's win, marking their first away victory since January.
"That is not important," said Silva. "What is important to us is we got three important points today. It is not because it is away, or at home, it is an important three points for us.
"Of course it is fantastic if you can win away in the Premier League, as it is really difficult to do that, and we showed this football and commitment and this is most important to me.
"Because if you play like we did today, with this level of organisation, the players believe in our football and idea and we are close to take good results."
