They have given a 10 reasoned approach as to how and why they did everything possible to seal the deal before the deadline passed. They have blamed United for being difficult, and here are there reasons
.- Manchester United didn't allow and open any negotiations for David de Gea until yesterday morning.
.- Real Madrid, despite the difficulties of an operation of this kind on the last day of the transfer market, accepted to open negotiations.
.- When Manchester united opened talks yesterday day morning, they were opened on the contingency that a deal would be made for Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas, which would see the Costa Rican move to Old Trafford this season.
.- Real Madrid and Manchester United came to a fast agreement over the transfers of both players. After the drafting of the relevant contractual documents required and to proceed with sufficient time to process both the FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS) as its registration with the Professional Football League, Real Madrid sent Manchester United the contracts at 13 : 39 (BST+1).
.- Manchester United forwarded their feedback of the contracts sent by Real Madrid almost eight hours later at 21:43 (BST+1), which included small changes. As they weren't relevant, all modifications were accepted immediately by Real Madrid, with the intention to register the player to La Liga's professional football association.
.- Real Madrid, after obtaining both the signatures of both De Gea and Keylor Navas at 23:32 (BST+1), were waiting for the final documents to be signed and sent by Manchester United.
.- Manchester United reached an agreement with the representatives of Keylor Navas at 23:53 (BST+1) and was at that time when they gave the documents to the player to be signed.
.- Manchester United introduced in the TMS the documents for De Gea (and not for Keylor Navas) at 00:00 (BST+1), simultaneously referring to Real Madrid transfer contracts signed. Real Madrid received the completed document at 00:02 (BST+1) and tried to access the TMS but found that it was closed.
.- At 00:26 (BST+1) the computer system TMS of FIFA makes an invitation to Real Madrid to fill out additional information regarding David de Gea, given that the deadline for registration in England remains open. Real Madrid, in the eventuality of a contentious course of the transfer of the player, decided to refer the contract to the Professional Football League, even knowing that the deadlines had expired.
.- In short, the Real Madrid has done everything necessary, and at all times, to carry out these two transfers.
