The Frenchman was linked with the Serie A champions throughout the summer as a replacement for Paul Pogba, but the midfielder ended up staying at PSG.
The player's agent, the notorious Mino Raiola, claims that Juventus are "mad" at him for not forcing through a deal.
"[Juve sporting director] Fabio Paratici's still mad at me, but it's not my fault," he told 'Rai Sport'. "We discussed at length, but then the chairman of PSG intervened and blocked the deal".
However, there is still hope of a deal to be done as Matuidi is not in talks to extend his stay at the Ligue 1 champions and he could move to Italy in January.
"Paratici, however, doesn't have to get upset because it's not true that we're discussing the renewal of his contract with PSG," Raiola added.
"It's not easy to take players away from PSG [in January], but we'll see".
