It emerged yesterday that Cavani has a bonus clause in his contract that will see him paid €1m if he finishes the season as Ligue 1's top goalscorer, something which PSG plan to amend in an attempt to stop the in-fighting.
'RMC' reports that PSG are ready to intervene in order to modify Cavani's bonus and offer a similar one to Neymar in order to force the pair to work together for the good of the team rather than to feed their own egos.
The PSG board believes that this change would improve the club's chances of success on the pitch, with both Cavani and Neymar forced to work together in order to benefit financially.
As well as this measure, French publication 'Le Parisien' reports that PSG's sporting director Antero Henrique is organising a meeting between the two players, under strict orders from club chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
The French club hope that between the meeting, the modification of Cavani's bonus, Neymar's new bonus and the introduction of a rotation system, everything will sort itself out quickly on the pitch and that there will be no more on-field conflicts but whether or not it will be successful remains to be seen.
