Liverpool will hope to bounce back from a humiliating 5-0 defeat to Man City last weekend while Burnley will hope to build on the points they have already picked up from Stamford Bridge and Wembley this season. Both sides have gained seven points from their opening four fixtures.
The home side will be without Sadio Mane, who is serving a three-match suspension, but could be boosted with the return of Philippe Coutinho, after the Brazilian playmaker came off the bench to play in Liverpool's midweek draw with Sevilla in the Champions League.
Nick Pope will make his first Premier League start in goal for Burnley after Sean Dyche confirmed Tom Heaton would face a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Dyche is hoping Jeff Hendrick can recover from a thigh injury in time for the game after he trained on Thursday but Dean Marney remains a long-term absentee.
