'I suffer playing football', admits Mascherano

In an interview published by Argentinian newspaper 'Panenka', Mascherano commented that for him, "the ninety minutes that are played on the field come with great suffering as I have to remain completely focused throughout, making sure I don't make a mistake."

"We all say that we don't really understand when a lot of people say 'Let's go enjoy ourselves at the stadium'.

"I definitely don't enjoy myself, don't get me wrong I love training each day and learning new things but during the 90 minutes I'm not enjoying it one bit.
