The Spainsh coach has included unsettled Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea in his squad for the holders' Euro 2016 qualifiers at home to Group C leaders Slovakia and Macedonia respectively this weekend.
Del Bosque called up De Gea despite the fact that United coach Louis van Gaal has not used him this season alongside his failed transfer to Real Madrid yesterday.
He spoke out during a Spanish programme called 'El Partido de las 12' regarding the players he has selected for the two games.
"The important thing is that they come here happy and comfortable, we have a good atmosphere," said Del Bosque.
About David De Gea: "If anything is needed to be said, I will speak to him personally, but he has taken this whole episode like anything else. Obviously I want him to play and be happy, he's playing well enough at the moment to bring him along on our campaign, but if he's not playing then it will be very dificult to select him."
About Diego Costa: "We count on his willingness and interest to play with our national team. We're not happy with what he's done for us so far, but he is performing well at Chelsea."
Finally, regarding Pique: He's a player who knows how to handle pressure well. I hope that people applaude his selection, something which he deserves."
