Antonio Conte is hoping the little Belgian can be a driving factor behind Chelsea's European success this season, with the process starting on Wednesday night when the Blues travel to Atletico Madrid.
After leading Chelsea to Premier League triumphs in the past, the Italian manager is hoping the forward can replicate that form in the Champions League.
'Last season Eden played a really important season, played very well, and he was very important for us in winning the league', Conte said. 'He showed in every game great talent, to be a really good player, a top player'.
Hazard is yet to start in the Premier League in the current campaign due to injury, but having slowly returned to the team and deemed to be fit, he is set to be unleashed against Atletico.
'This competition is very important for him, but I think it's important for the team. This competition brings you to another level. I think he has all the possibilities to do this', Conte added. 'He's a really top player. Now he's totally fit and in contention for tomorrow's game. I think it's the right moment'.
