Gundogan back in Germany squad after almost a year

Gundogan hasn't been in a Germany squad for almost a year. AFP

Manchester City's Ilkay Gundogan has been named in Germany's squad to play Czech Republic and Northern Ireland and could play his first international match for almost a year.

Gundogan last played for Germany back in November 2015 and could be set to make his first appearance in a while.

The 25-year-old has 16 caps for his country, scoring four goals.

Gundogan joined Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund this summer and has made four appearances for Pep Guardiola's side.
