The former Liverpool manager has completed the Belfast Marathon on behalf of the Northern Ireland Hospice.
The 35-year-old ran alongside his fiancee Charlotte Searle and they ran to raise money for the Northern Ireland Hospice, the care home that looked after his late father Malachy before he passed away in 2011.
Rodgers has previously given the care home money and with the sale of his parents' house the hospice was able to install a nurse call system.
He told the Irish News, "My mother was a big charity worker, she did a lot for (Irish charity)Trócaire.
"I just felt it was an opportunity to do something in my mum's memory, especially because she was such a big charity worker. She spent her life trying to help others, trying to raise money to help others.
"It's something for the hospice, it felt like the right thing to do, it was about putting the money to good use and I know that it will be in the hospice. I know that she would have been happy that I have done this."
