Former Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores was confirmed as Espanyol's new coach on Thursday.
The Hornets released the Spaniard at the end of last season, opting not to offer him a new contract, despite Watford finishing a respectable 13th in the league.
Espanyol will be his new home ahead of next season, with the club's Chinese owners hoping the 51-year-old can improve the club's fortunes.
