Pep Guardiola's men put five past 10-man Liverpool in Saturday's early kick-off, but the game was marred by Sadio Mane's straight red card after a challenge on the Brazilian goalkeeper.
Ederson left the pitch on a stretcher wearing a neck brace and oxygen mask following the clash but he fortunately suffered no broken bones in the incident.

The goalkeeper can be seen with his family, sporting a large white bandage covering stitches for a deep cut on his left cheek.
Mane has since apologised to Ederson with a post on his Instagram.

The post reads:
'I hope and wish Ederson a quick recovery. I am so sorry he was hurt during our accidental collision on the pitch and am sorry for him that he could not complete the match because of it. I pray he heals fast and is back playing very soon!'
