Paris Saint-Germain left-back Lucas Digne is ready to quit the club this summer in order to find regular first-team football.
The France international made just 15 Ligue 1 appearances last term but will only leave the capital club if a top European club offers him the starting berth he will need in order to earn a place in Didier Deschamps’ squad for Euro 2016.
PSG boss Laurent Blanc is resigned to losing the 22-year-old, who has failed to dislodge Maxwell from the French champions' back four, and Digne’s agent, Mikkel Beck, says that the former Lille man has no intention of spending the 2015-16 campaign warming the bench at the Parc des Princes.
"It's simple: there are the Euros at end of the season and Lucas will no longer waste time,” former Middlesbrough and Denmark striker Beck told Goal.
“He wants to re-join the France squad for Euro 2016. And that can only happen with game time.
“He must be able to play in a big club and, above all, to have a starting spot. Otherwise, it’s not worth leaving PSG.”
Since joining from Lille in 2013 for €15 million, Digne has appeared in just 30 of PSG’s last 76 matches.
Roma have expressed interest in taking Digne to Serie A in a move that would see him reunited with former boss Rudi Garcia, but the Giallorossi are still focusing their efforts on bringing in Adriano from Barcelona - despite seeing their first bid for the Brazilian rebuffed.
Premier League club Liverpool are also interested in Digne, who PSG would now allow to leave on loan with a view to a permanent switch at the end of the season.
