Chelsea seem to have moved into pole position to sign Zenit's in-demand midfielder Axel Witsel.
The 27-year-old, who has established himself as a key player in the heart of the Russian giant's midfield, making 41 appearances in all competitions during the 2015-16 season, looks set to leave the club this summer.
Everton seemed to be the front-runners to sign the £28 million rated midfielder, however it now looks like their Premier League rivals have moved ahead of them.
According to The Sun, the Blues have reached a personal agreement with Witsel, and now just need to agree on a fee with his club.
Good signing for Conte?
