The Spaniard has revealed that he didn't want to make a new signing tin order to replace Ibra, instead he opted for Cavani who joined the club in 2013 from Napoli.
Ibrahimovic joined Manchester United this summer from PSG on a free transfer.
Emery admits that it's hard to find a player who can replace the Swede but he thinks that the 29-year-old makes a good job.
He said: "Jese has played striker, he is versatile and we have Augustin, a young player who is ready to play and who will progress. We are working to improve the small details," he added. "But this is a team that has won a lot and I have great respect for PSG".
