The agent and father of Bayern Munich star David Alaba has claimed he is proud of the interest the player has received from giants Real Madrid.
It was reported on Tuesday that Real Madrid had made an offer of €50 million for the player, which the Bavarian club have subesquently turned down.
Whilst shedding little light on the offer, the 23-year-old's father claimed to be 'proud' of the interest.
"We're at a moment when we don't need to make any comment. Madrid are a great club and I'm proud of the interest. That's all I can say, nothing else," he told AS.
It won't be easy for the Spanish giants to land the player, with Alaba signing a new three-year deal with the club earlier this year, and claiming he wants to continue to win silverware with the Bundesliga side.
"I'm very happy and grateful that I can continue playing for the best club in the world," he told the club's official website. "There's a lot I want to achieve here in the years to come and I'll continue to give my best for FC Bayern."
