Zidane rewards Madrid 2 days rest after Celta win

Real Madrid returned to winning ways on Saturday against Celta Vigo (2-0). Lucas Vázquez and Marco Asensio ended Celta's aspirations at the Alfredo Di Stéfano.

Los Blancos came into the match after having drawn with Elche (1-1) and got the win that was rewarded with 2 days rest from Zinedine Zidane.

After various weeks in which there have been league matches during the week or the Copa del Rey, Zidane made the most of Madrid not having to play again until next weekend with an extra day.

Madrid, therefore, will return to training, as 'Mundo Deportivo' notes, on Tuesday from 11am, when they will start to prepare for the match against Osasuna on Saturday 9th January.
