Zapata to decide on his future after the Champions League

To speak of Duvan Zapata is to speak of one of the great strikers of the season and one of the prolific goalscorers in this season's revelation team: Gian Piero Gasperini's Atalanta.
The Colombian striker is experiencing a sweet moment and has already accumulated 19 goals and seven assists this season. His agent, Nestor Villarreal, spoke to 'Antena 2' about the good run his team has had.
"I'm happy and calm about Duvan's moment. He's been in the team for two spectacular seasons and has earned a place in the national team. His maturity has led him here. He is among the top five forwards in Europe," he said.
Villarreal also spoke about the next step in the career of a Zapata who, at 29 years old, has snuck himself into the agenda of very important teams at the continental level. "I think it is time to make the leap into a European giant, because in all the teams he has been in, he has shown his scoring ability. He is at the ideal sporting and personal moment for that to happen," added the representative.
Finally, despite interest from some of the big names like Juventus and Atletico Madrid, Nestor Villarreal was keen to emphasise that Zapata is totally focused on finishing this campaign in the best possible way before exploring his future.
"He has his feet firmly on the ground with regard to the moment and what is being talked about. He stays out of it and that's why he has an agent. We are in talks with some teams, but we don't want to make any progress because Atalanta is currently focused on Serie A and the Champions League," he said.
