Yamiq tests positive for COVID-19 and will not play against Valencia

Real Valladolid faces this Sunday's match against Valencia with Janko, Raúl Carnero and Marcos André missing, to which has been added El Yamiq, who has tested positive for COVID and, therefore, has been isolated at home, as reported by the club in a statement.

This is an important handicap for the coach, Sergio Gonzalez, who has bet on the Moroccan player and was running for a starting place against Valencia in the center of the defense with Bruno, but it will be Javi Sanchez or Joaquin who will replace him this Sunday.

The coach of the team, Sergio González, said in the prematch conference "don't change what works", so, although he usually uses a 4-4-2, in this case, everything points to betting again on a  4-1-4-1, with San Emeterio ahead of the defense and with Weissman as the only forward.

Although Valencia is not going through its best moment, with eight games without a win, Sergio is clear that "it is a great team, which has high level players" and therefore it is "a sleeping giant", which they hope not to wake up in Valladolid.

With 'Filomena' in full swing, the Valladolid players have been forced to vary the start of the training sessions and are aware that the temperatures will be low on the pitch, but "there are no excuses" of any kind and have winning as their minds.

Orellana has returned to the call up of Real Valladolid, which brings more quality rotations when it comes to modifying the structure during the match, in which Oscar Plano could make an appeareance.
