World's most expensive defender, who is it?

Lucas Hernandez will join up with his bavarian colleagues this summer after signing a 5 year deal with Bayern today. The French World Cup winner will leave Atletico Madrid to join Bayern in July, with the Munich based club paying 80 million euros for the Left back.
According to some sources, Van Dijk left Southampton to join Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool for 78.8 million euros, but the fact that neither side actually published the official fee publicly, there is some ambiguiety with some sources quoting that Liverpool paid 84 million euros for Van Dijk in january 2018.
Without being able to fully confirm the details, it appears that Frenchman Hernandez may in fact be the most expensive defender of all time, with Van Dijk in a very close second. The Dutchman has been a major player for Liverpool who have reached the Champions League Quarter-Finals for consecutive seasons and currently sit atop the Premier League. Hernandez will be hoping to be of the same Value for Bayern Munich.
Whilst it is not entirely clear which defender is worth more, it is clear that Aymeric Laporte comes in 3rd after Manchester City took him from Athletic Bilbao for 65 million euros in the same window as Van Dijk, with his Man.City teammate, John Stones in 4th having signed for City from Everton for 55.6 million euros and Eder Militao, who will join Real Madrid for 50 million euros from Porto in July is 5th.
