Wijnaldum turns down Barca and will join PSG until 2024

Georginio Wijnaldum had two proposals on the table: one from Barcelona and the other from PSG. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder has gone for the French club. He will sign for the Parisians until 2024.

The Catalan press saw it coming. Wijnaldum's chances of going to the Camp Nou dropped in the last few hours and talk increased of him going to PSG.

Finally, journalist Fabrizio Romano says he will move to Ligue 1. PSG 's offer was much better than Wijnaldum's and he has agreed to move there.

Wijnaldum will pen a PSG contract until 2024, in other words, for the next three seasons. The sums of money PSG have offered him have been enough to persuade the midfielder, who will arrive after seeing out his contract at Liverpool.

Fabrizio Romano says that, once his contract has been signed, Wijnaldum will earn double what he would have got at Barca.

PSG decided to double thew offer and Wijnaldum said yes on Saturday night. Pochettino called him several times in the coming days to persuade him to join them and it looks like they achieved it. The club's plan is for him to sign the contract as soon as poosible.

Barca's offer will not change. The club have decided to not up their offer and Romano that Wijnaldum will soon have his medical at PSG.
