Lanzini suffered a serious knee injury in the build up to Argentina's World Cup campaign, causing him to miss the tournament and he has not yet returned to West Ham.
In a video posted on twitter, the club revealed that Lanzini's recovering is progressing well and that he is now about three months away from getting back onto the pitch.
Physio Richard Collins said: "We're very pleased with Manu. He's now at the three month stage. I flew out to see him and his consultant last week.
"Rehab wise we have a plan together. Manu is working hard, he's very disciplined and motivated and we are heading in the right direction."
He also went on to reveal that Andy Carroll could be close to a return to first team action, along with Sam Byram.
