Werner ends drought after more than two months without goal!

Werner was right. In an interview with 'Chelsea TV' the day before the game, the German said he had to stop thinking about scoring for him to get back on the scoresheet. And he scored. He broke the deadlock against the Hammers. 

In the 43rd minute, he was part of a great Chelsea move after he hit home a low pass into the box with his right foot. 

The German was delighted with the goal as he was aware he had not scored for more than two months. His last goal away from home was in October 2020, six months ago. 

His goal was also a very important one. Thomas Tuchel's men are fighting for a Champions League spot and they were 5th, just behind West Ham ahead of this one.
