Weghorst "very disappointed" with Messi after "stupid man" comment

Argentina beat the Netherlands in a penalty shootout. It was a rough game and there was controversy. There was also fighting after the game. 

Messi, while he was talking to the media, called Weghorst "stupid". It seems like it was all because of a misunderstanding, or at least that is what the Netherlands player said. 

"I've gone to shake his hand after the game. He didn't accpet it and he's said something rude to me," Weghorst told 'Gol' after the incident. 

Weghorst was unable to understand the comment though. "I don't understand Spanish very well," he said.

In any case, the Besiktas footballer did not like Messi's behaviour at all. "I'm very disappointed," Weghorst continued. 

According to journalist Ricardo Rosety, Weghorst went to ask Messi for his shirt and to shake his hand. At that moment, the Argentina player thought that he was going to have a go at him over something. Aguero and Lautaro Martinez went to talk to the Dutchman, who felt offended, but they were unable to calm the situation down. When the defender was going now towards the tunnel, he stared at the PSG striker and he responded with "stupid man."
