'We always look forward to playing Madrid'

The Spanish-Brazilian striker has another opportunity to recover from his slow start to the campaign in LaLiga. Diego Costa has scored three times this campaign, but none of his goals have come in the league (two in the UEFA Supercup and one in the Champions League).

The situation of the league table makes the Madrid derby even more interesting. After the 'Rojiblancos' won against Huesca and the setback of 'Los Blancos' in the Sánchez Pizjuán, Real Madrid sit just two points in front of the 'Colchoneros'. 

Despite the apparently equality between the sides, for Costa this game is always special: "We always look forward to playing Madrid... but they also like playing us". 

Costa added that he is expecting a vengeful performance from the 'merengue' side: "Although it is a different game, they will be more eager after the SuperCup."

"It was my best performance since I returned to Atlético. I started very well that night. Against Valencia I was also good. Against Rayo it was strange, the signings... We cannot lose our essence", he commented of his current form.
