VOTE: At which legendary stadium would you like to play?

Our shortlist includes Wembley Stadium in London, Maracana in Rio, Old Trafford in Manchester, San Siro in Milan, Camp Nou in Barcelona and Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid.
Wembley Stadium is the most world-famous sporting venue in the UK, with the only exception perhaps of Wimbledon. It has been the traditional home of the England national team and the venue of the FA Cup finals. It was of course the stage for the 1948 Olympic Games and the 1966 World Cup.
Maracana is an emblematic landmark of Brazil. The biggest stadium in the country and, during a long time, also in the world. It hosted the 1950 and 2014 World Cup while football legends like Pele, Garrincha, Ronaldo, Maradona or Eusebio stepped on its pitch. It was also the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies at the 2016 Olympic Games.
The fact that Old Trafford is also called Theatre of Dreams is a clue to its significance in English football. It has been Manchester United’s home since 1910 and hosted various games of the 1966 World Cup, Euro 1996 as well as the football tournament of the 2012 Olympics.
San Siro, whose official name is Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, is home to both Milan and Inter and which name of the two you prefer also depends on which of the two teams you support. It hosted World Cup matches in 1934 and in 1990, as well as Euro 1980. It was also the venue of the 2016 Champions League final, between Real and Atletico Madrid.
Camp Nou is synonymous with Barcelona and the largest-capacity stadium in Europe, second-biggest in the world. It was the stage of several matches of Euro 1964 as well as of the opening ceremony and the inaugural match of the 1982 World Cup.
Santiago Bernabeu is of course home to Real Madrid. It was also a venue of Euro 1964 and the 1982 World Cup. It is the only Spanish stadium to see Spain win an international tournament, as it hosted the 1964 final. Real Madrid, together with Inter, are the only teams in history to have won a Champions League trophy in their own stadium.
