VIDEO: Leo Baptistao is announced by Santos and receives a message from Neymar

Santos announced on Saturday the signing of striker Léo Baptistao to the professional team. The 28-year-old played for Wuhan FC in China last season and was in Vila Belmiro with club president Andrés Rueda to sign a contract with 'Peixe' until May 2023.

Born in Santos, Baptistao excelled in Portuguesa Santista's youth ranks until joining Rayo Vallecano in 2008. The striker caught the attention of Atletico Madrid and was signed in 2013. He then had spells at Real Betis, Villarreal and Espanyol before joining Wuhan.

His friend Neymar, formerly of Santos, sent him a message welcoming him to his hometown team.
