VIDEO: “We found more spaces after the break” - Valverde

Real Madrid hosted Alaves at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday night. The league leaders extended the gap at the top of La Liga between themselves and Sevilla after beating the visitors 3-0.

The team from the capital looked as though they were heading towards another goalless game as the score at half time read 0-0. However, Real turned it on the second half. A beautiful goal from Asensio put the home side one up on 63 minutes, Vinicius followed this up on 80 minutes, and Benzema fired in a penalty during additional time. 

The win extends Real's lead at the top to 6 points as second place Sevilla could only manage a point away at Espanyol earlier in the day. Alaves meanwhile drop to 19th. Listen to what Valverde had to say about his team's performance in the clip above!
