Celtic hosted bottom side Dundee on matchday 27 of the Scottish Premiership last Sunday. The home side came out 3-2 winners thanks to a Giakoumakis hat-trick.
Considering Celtic had an 82% share of the possession in the match, it is surprising how close they were to not coming out of it with all three points. Dundee scored first in the match through a Danny Mullen goal. Giakoumakis responded with a first half brace to give his team the lead at half time. Dundee answered back in the 60th minute to level the scoring. It looked as though Dundee were somehow going to steal a point but in the 86th minute Giakoumakis completed his hat-trick to spare Celtic's blushes.
The win extended Celtic's lead at the top of the table to three points after 2nd place Rangers could only manage a draw. Dundee meanwhile remain rooted to the bottom of the table. Take a look at the Giakoumakis hat-trick in the video above!
