'Very bad': Fernandes reflects on Man United's derby defeat

The midfielder admitted the result was "very bad" but insisted there were insights to be gained from the performance.
Fernandes was critical of United's defensive mistakes, which allowed City to dominate. "We conceded three goals that should have been avoided," he said.
"The first required more bravery in one-on-one situations, the second came from a throw-in where we lacked awareness, and the third was a counter that caught us out of position."
He also described a moment of miscommunication with teammates that contributed to City's opening goal. Despite the heavy loss, the 31-year-old highlighted some positives in United's play.
"On the ball, we were very positive and brave, trying to play forward," he noted. However, he stressed that creating chances was not enough: "We need to score goals and not concede. That is the main thing in football."
Looking ahead, Fernandes urged his team to learn from their errors. "All we can do is focus on what we need to do better and move forward to the next game," he concluded.
