"Valencia? That's the past, I have to give my best at Tottenham"

Bryan Gil played the final stretch of the Champions League match that Tottenham and Sporting Portugal drew on Wednesday and spoke to 'EFE' in the mixed zone of the London stadium.
"It was the goal that could have got us through," Gil said, recalling Harry Kane's disallowed goal in the 96th minute of the game. "After five minutes checking the VAR, to have it disallowed? It's unbelievable, but let's trust the decision they made even if we don't agree.
Gil has yet to play a single minute in the Premier League this season, but has played in three of the five Champions League games.
"I'm working to do my best, to do well when it's my turn. That's my motivation, to improve every day and contribute as much as possible. In England it's a different style of play to La Liga, more physical and I think it tests me, with other situations, another game. I think I'm improving," he commented.
His lack of playing time last season ended with his loan move to Valencia, where he enjoyed more opportunities. The Spanish club tried to sign him at the end of the summer transfer window, but the deal failed in the final minutes of the window.
"It is something that has already happened. Now I have to focus on where I am. On my club, Tottenham, doing my best here and forgetting about something that has already happened.
