Morocco coach Walid Regragui expressed on Monday his solidarity with his defender Achraf Hakimi, accused of rape in France, and confirmed his participation in Morocco's friendly match against Brazil on 25th March in Tangiers.
"We are with him on the basis of the presumption of innocence. Until confirmed otherwise, all Moroccans support Achraf," Regragui said at a press conference in Rabat to present the new composition of the Moroccan national team.
In addition to the match against Brazil at the Grand Stade de Tangiers, the Moroccan national team is scheduled to play another friendly match on 28th March against Peru at the Metropolitan Stadium in Madrid.
Regragui added that Hakimi, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain, "will do well to come to Morocco to feel the support," and said that he is a player who is "strong inside and outside the pitch".
