There were rumours prior to the semi-final second leg between Real Madrid and Chelsea that if Chelsea and City made the final then it could be moved to England.
According to the 'New York Times', everything will be decided in the next 48 hours. The UK Government will meet with UEFA this Monday to study a change of venue.
The coronavirus restrictions in Turkey mean the game could be moved. There are 20 days still until the final and Wembley could step in.
UEFA, despite everything, are planning for the game to go ahead at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul and that is what they will tell Boris Johnson.
The problem is that the UK have put Turkey on the red list and fans have been told not to travel. The players would also be unable to go as they would have to quarantine for 10 days on their return and the Euros begin just days later.
It is worth remembering that Istanbul had been selected to host the 2020 final, but the coronavirus meant the closing stages had to be moved to Lisbon. Istanbul was given the 2021 final instead, but they could miss out again this year.
