Tottenham will let Kane leave if he wants to

Harry Kane was in the centre of a transfer saga last summer. The Tottenham player made it very clear that he wanted to go to Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, but in the end, he stayed in London to complete another season in a Spurs shirt.
Currently, his future is unclear. As already explained by the 'London Evening Standard' he has doubts over the project at his current club, at which he is not enjoying his best campaign despite the recent win at City. This season, the club had to part company with Nuno Espirito Santo and replace him with Antonio Conte, whose team sits in 8th place in the Premier League on 39 points at the moment, three points off the Europa League spot.
Although the importance of the English striker is paramount at Tottenham, the club does not want to pressure him to renew his contract which is due to expire in June 2024, as noted by 'The Athletic'.
The director at the club has put the ball on Kane's side of the court, and because of this he is free to decide on whether or not he wants to leave. The idea is that his decision will be dependent on how the current season finishes and the offers he receives from other clubs.
Up until now, it has always been undersood that Kane has not engaged with a renewal situation, and that he will not have convesations about it until the summer.
