The fallout from the Albiceleste's shock 3-0 thumping at the hands of Zlatko Dalic's side has already been spectaular and as if Argentina's position wasn't delicate enough already, it appears that they could now be set for a change of manager.
The aforementioned source claims that Sampaoli has been asked by a number of senior players not to take charge of Argentina's game against the 'Super Eagles' on Tuesday June 26.
That assessment is based on an unnamed source within the Argentine FA, with 'TodoNoticias' going as far as to claim that Sampaoli has accepted the requests for him to leave. Other news sources meanwhile, including 'TyCSports' suggest that Jorge Burruchaga could be set to replace Samapoli at the helm.

Whilst the reports have yet to be confirmed, the comments from certain players after the match suggested that they weren't particularly content with their manager, including a particularly disgruntled Sergio Aguero.
Argentina's fate is now out of their hands, with them needing to beat Nigeria and hope that other results go their way, including in Friday's meeting betwee Iceland and the African outfit.
The game against Nigeria could wind up being Argentina's most important since they lot to Germany in the 2014 final in Brazil.
If Sampaoli were to leave, it would surely become the shock story of the tournament, leapfrogging Julen Lopetegui's sacking on the eve of the big kick-off.
