Zinedine Zidane returned to Madrid by making clear what is the team's objective until the end of the season: win the eleven games which remain. Against Celta, Zidane's last away game of his 1st spell, is where it starts again.

In his opening press conference after his appointment was confirmed, Zinedine Zidane brought joy to a team and a fanbase who did not know where to look. Real's season ended in just one week, but with 'Zizou', everything changes.

The ex-player and ex-manager, who managed to achieve a spell which was both short and historic has remotivated a team which was down. In his first training session, he was clear and forceful in the message which he sent out in the meeting with his players. "Forget the past. Everyone counts and we are going to enjoy football. The aim is to win all the remaining games."

In the present and with a lot of work ahead of him, Zinedine Zidane asked his players to get 11 victories in the 11 remaining league games to put the team back on track and raise team spirit for the 2019-20 season.

So, Celta Vigo will be the first hurdle to overcome. Precisely, the Galician team was the last stadium Zidane visited as Madrid manager before leaving the Bernabeu. The ascent starts this Saturday.

It is not the first time the Frenchman has been capable of reducing Barca's lead, which is now 12 points after beating Real Madrid in 'El Clasico'. In his first campaign, he cut it one point before the last game of the season (against Deportivo at the Riazor, which could have given the title to either side, when the difference was the same as now). In the end, Barca did not slip up and ended up winning the league.

It was in Matchday 27 when the French coach took over the team to get what he is asking for again, since the aim is to end second and be as close as possible to the bitter rival. With the same character, a lot to to and with very little pressure, in the Bernabeu, the lights have come in and the red carpet has been laid. Zidane knows what he has to do and the time has come.
