This is how Neymar's Barcelona goodbye went down

Neymar has said goodbye to Barcelona. The striker knew he would be parting with his teammates on Wednesday morning, which is why he arrived at Barca's training ground without his training gear.

The Brazilian was the last person to arrive at training, though not to work along with the team, but to bid farewell to the players and staff. As soon as he got to the training complex, Neymar spoke Valverde in private to inform the manager of his decision.

As reported by Spanish daily 'As', the 25-year-old went straight to Valverde's office to ask for permission to skip training in order to sort out his move to Paris. As expected, Valverde accepted after checking with the club.

The toughest moment for Neymar came when he had to announce his decision to his teammates for the last four years. After speaking to them one by one, he wished them good luck before leaving Sant Joan Despi.

He continued to wave goodbye to all the staff members he encountered on his way out before leaving Barcelona's headquarters, possibly for good.
