It's safe to say Dutch side FC Lisse were not happy to be knocked out of the Dutch FA Cup in such controversial fashion.
The third division outfit initially thought they had progressed to the second round of the KNVB Beker, only for the Dutch FA to order a replay.
Lisse defeated fifth-tier club HSV Hoek 5-4 on penaltiers following their 2-2 draw on September 20. However, referee Marc Nagtegaal had mistakenly used the newly-introduced A-B-B-A system.
The A-B-A-B format is still used in Dutch cup matches, so the FA later ordered just the shootout to be replayed, with Lisse failing to get the original result to stand in court.
On Wednesday night, Hoek progressed to the next round after winning the retaken shootout 6-5 at Lisse's Sportpark Ter Specke, and will now face Eredivisie side Heracles.
