The Argentine coach is gradually winning over the Santos fans, especially after two wins in the opening two games of the 2019 Brasileirao.
"It's of immense joy, I feel very good in this city. The crowd used to shout Pele's name then Neymar's and now mine," stressed the ex-Argentina coach after the 2-1 victory over Fluminense.
"Our football has to be a way of life, coinciding with what the fans want," indicated Sampaoli, who continues mantaining his idea of attractive football which has characterised his managerial career.
"Even at 2-0 up, we kept on attacking and we had eight shots on goal. Attacking football is our sign of identity," concluded an excited and happy Sampaoli in his first taste of Brazilian football.
