'They say I wiped my nose on Ronaldo. Are they three years old?'

Dani Alves was accused of wiping snot on Cristiano Ronaldo's sleeve during PSG's defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League, with an image circulating that seems to have been captured by pitch-side cameras. The Brazilian denies these accusations, and issued an angry message to the press. 

"They said that I wiped my nose on Cristiano's jersey. What are they? Three years old?" the defender began by explaining on Brazilian program, 'Esporte Espectacular'.

In addition, he spoke about the impact that these accusations could have on his personal life: "Thank God, my son does not follow football, because it is losing the essence that made me want to a player. Everything about football has changed. It's boundless stupidity."

Apart from the mucus controversy, Alves has dismissed reports of on-pitch friction with striker Ronaldo: "It was match action, it was in the heat of the moment. It's part of football, it's nothing personal.''
