"They played a great game, we shouldn't underestimate any opponent"

New Real Madrid defender Dean Huijsen said on Wednesday that they should not underestimate any opponent and must always play at 100% to win matches, after drawing 1-1 with Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal in both teams' debut in the Club World Cup.

"We must not underestimate any opponent," he told the media in the mixed zone at the end of the match in which he made his debut as a Real Madrid player. "We knew they had a good level and the truth is that they played a great game," he added about Al Hilal.

He also wanted to play down the influence that the intense Miami sun could have had on the match, with 32 degrees Celsius at kickoff.

"It's difficult but in the end it's football (...) It's for both teams and we have to keep working," said the defender, who could not get the victory in his debut with the white jersey.
