The unknown future of Mariano

Without any official news from the club explaining his situation, Mariano's situation at Madrid is becoming increasingly convoluted.

Mariano did not appear in the games against Celta and Valladolid, although reasons why have not been given. It could be for physical reasons, or a mere coaching decision from Zinedine Zidane.

The second would seem more likely, because the French coach has already made it clear that the number '9' position belongs to Benzema, followed by Jovic, who was the star signing this summer for 60 million euros.

However, Mariano has headed to continue at the club, by trying to turn his situation around, just like Bale and James have done. He has even rejected offers from Monaco and Roma. Only time will tell...
