Contract negotiations between Barcelona and Nélson Semedo have broken down and the ex-Benfica full-back aims to leave in 2020.
Once it was known that the wing-back would leave the Camp Nou, the next step was finding out his destination. 'Marca' confirmed that Mattia de Sciglio, who Barcelona already showed an interest in, could be Semedo's replacement.
The full-back, more versatile than the Portuguese, would arrive in a swap which Barcelona would get some more benefit from, as Semedo has a better rating than the Italian international.
Perhaps this change of players would help Juventus facilitate the exit of Miralem Pjanic to Barcelona, although it is also possible that Barca opt for another route.
Possible swap with City and Inter
According to 'Sport', Semedo's exit will only help Lautaro Martínez to sign for Barcelona. According to the Catalan media, the Barca full-back will sign for Manchester City and Inter will recover Joao Cancelo for free.
In exchange, Barca will have a considerable reduction in the Argentine striker, which would now be an accessible price for Barca.
However, in order not to vary when it comes to the Portuguese players, Jorge Mendes will have a decisive role in the multiple exchanges, since he is in charge of the careers of Semedo and Cancelo.
Several options for a Barcelona that already announced that swapping will be their main transfer formula in 2020 and which seems to be fulfilling the forecasts on the matter.
