'The Times': Bale accepts to go to United, but will not give up salary

Manchester United are insisting on Gareth Bale, who looks favourably on returning to the Premier League with the Old Trafford side. The wage, the big obstacle in the puzzle.

Real Madrid player Gareth Bale could be willing to go on loan to Manchester United if the two clubs reach an agreement that convinces the Welshman, according to the British newspaper 'The Times'.

According to the newspaper, in the player's circle, they see it unlikely that the negotiations will be successful, although United are contemplating the possible loan of Bale as an alternative if they don't manage the signing of Jadon Sancho, who Dortmund are asking more than 100 million euros for.

In principle, one of the main obstacles for the arrival of Bale to the English club resides in that the player seems unwilling to receive less than the 15 million euros net per season that he earns at Real Madrid.

United would opt for a year on loan because they can't face the player's wage, who is clinging on to the contract that he has at Madrid.

The Welsh player already made clear in the past that he is open to leaving Los Blancos, like in the last market, when he blamed the club for not opening the door for him when he had an offer from China.
