The nightmare scenario for Tottenham and Chelsea

Chelsea's win over Swansea City at the weekend meant that third to fifth are separated by just six points going into the final few games of the season, intensifying the race for Europe.
However, there is an outcome that could see whoever finishes in fourth still lose out on Champions League football next season.
If both London teams finish ahead of Liverpool in the top four and the 'Reds' and Arsenal go on to win the Champions League and Europa League respectively in May, England would have to drop the fourth-placed team to Europa as they would have exceeded UEFA's quote of five per country.
Nonetheless, there may only be a small chance of this happening given the deficit Chelsea need to overcome in the league.
The 'Blues' are two points behind Tottenham, who have a game-in-hand, and six adrift of Liverpool, who have played a game more, but could turn the table on its head if they secure a victory over Jurgen Klopp's side at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
