Luxembourg sensationally held firm for 90 minutes despite their opponents having 31 shots on their goal. Of those 31, eight were on target but none of them managed to find a way past Jonathan Joubert in the visitors' goal.
The veteran goalkeeper was the hero of the day, making a series of stops to keep the French at bay. His team-mates recognised his contribution to their victory as both players and coaching staff alike celebrated a historic draw on French soil.
The scenes at the final whistle were nothing short of euphoria as the tiny nation claimed what some might consider to be its best ever result.
It's not everyday that you claim a draw against a French side that is so capable going forward. Perhaps there was an element of overconfidence from the hosts after they swept Holland away 4-0 last time out but that takes nothing away from Luxembourg's performance.

The visitors even had a chance to seal what would have been a historic victory late on as they hit the post.
